Sean R. Ling serves as the Vice President and General Manager of the Modernization and Modification Group for L3Harris Technologies. 

The division operates within the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance sector and Space & Mission Systems segment. 

Ling’s responsibilities include oversight of the Modernization and Modification Group (MMG) in Waco, Texas; the Compass Call Enterprise jointly located in Waco and Greenville, Texas; and Armed Overwatch program, International Sky Warden businesses.

Ling assumed the role in 2023 following two years as Director of Aircraft Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) and Modification Programs for the Reconnaissance Mission Systems Sector of L3Harris. In this role, he was responsible for managing PDM and modification of 30 specialized RC-135 aircraft.

Ling’s L3Harris career began with RC-135 program engineering support before advancing into program management and senior roles with increasing responsibility.

Ling has served leadership roles at L3Harris in Program Management, Engineering and Operations. He also previously served as Product Line Director at Raytheon Technologies.  

Ling has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, and a Master of Business Administration degree from East Texas A&M University.
