Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag has served as the President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) since 2011. He is a Professor of Computer and Electrical Engineering and holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University, USA. A former Commandant and Dean of the Military Technical College (MTC), he brings extensive academic and military leadership expertise. Prof. Abdel Ghafar heads the League of Arab States delegation to the IMO Council in London and serves as a member of the Board of Governors of the World Maritime University (WMU).
