Lieutenant General Amr Abdel Rahman Saqr serves as Commander of the Egyptian Air Force, bringing extensive operational, leadership, and strategic experience gained throughout a distinguished military career spanning multiple command and staff appointments.

A graduate of the Egyptian Air Force, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation and Air Military Sciences, a Master’s Degree in Military Sciences from the Command and Staff College, and is a Fellow of the Higher War College at the Military Academy for Advanced and Strategic Studies.

Throughout his military service, Lieutenant General Saqr has held a succession of command positions across the Air Force, progressing through all leadership levels before assuming the role of Commander of the Egyptian Air Force. His career reflects deep expertise in air operations, force readiness, military strategy, and defence leadership.

In recognition of his service and contributions to national security, he has been awarded numerous military decorations and honours, including the Military Duty Medal (First and Second Class), the Excellent Service Medal, the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, the First Class Training Medal, the 30 June Medal, the 25 January Medal, the Battle Medal in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Comprehensive Operation Sinai Medal. He has also received several commemorative decorations, including the Silver Jubilee Medal of the October Victory, the Silver Jubilee Medal of Sinai Liberation, the Golden Jubilee Medal of the 23 July Revolution, and the Diamond Jubilee Medal of the Egyptian Air Force.

As Commander of the Egyptian Air Force, Lieutenant General Saqr oversees one of the region’s leading air forces, supporting Egypt’s national defence objectives while advancing operational capability, regional cooperation, and the continued development of air power in a rapidly evolving security environment.
