Air General Francisco Braco Carbó
General Braco joined the Aire Force in 1978 and graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1983. He was promoted to Captain in 1985, to Major in 1994, to Lieutenant Colonel in 2001, to Colonel in 2011, to Brigadier General in 2015, to Major General in 2017 and to Lieutenant General in 2020.
He has been stationed in Wing 31, Headquarters of the Air Combat Command, Royal Household and in the 45th Group of Air Forces, unit that he later commanded as a colonel.
Since 2014 he has been stationed in the Joint Operations Command where he held several positions before being appointed its Commander. On 23 July 2024, he was appointed Chief of Staff of the EA and promoted to air general. He holds the courses of Transport Pilot, General Staff Diploma, Higher International Studiesfrom the Society for International Studies, University Master in Security and Defense, Generals Flag Officers and Ambassadors Course at the NATO Defense College and the National Defense Course. Overseas missions in which he has participated include: UNTAG, Deny Flight, UNPROFOR, Decisive Endeavour, Deliberate Guard, Deliberate Force and Allied Force.
He speaks English and French.
He has accounts for more than 9.000 flight hours in different aircraft, such as C-130, Falcon 900 and Airbus 310.
